Like most of you I'm an avid reader. I'm hoping to re-connect with old friends, make new friends, and of course spread the love of reading and writing around to everyone!
I just finished Book 2, which covers the months July through September of 1984 or is it really IQ84? The secret to knowing which world you're in, is if there are two moons; it's IQ84, but a lot of times to me at least, the lines were blurred. When I thought I might have it figured out, I later found out that I really didn't.
At the same time though, it doesn't really matter. Just being able to go along on this fantastic voyage, not knowing where you'll end up, is really interesting. The suspension of belief this book requires is both fun and maddening, all at the same time, and Murakami is a master at pulling the strings to have the story make sense to the reader, and then pulling the strings in an entirely different direction, to a place that as a reader, you wouldn't even consider.
I can't wait to read Book 3 to see how this story may or may not end...
