Like most of you I'm an avid reader. I'm hoping to re-connect with old friends, make new friends, and of course spread the love of reading and writing around to everyone!
Juli and Bryce are the dual thirteen-year-old narrators, recounting the same events in their common history, but from very different perspectives.
It's a coming of age story in which the subject of first love is treated with humor and respect, never with condescension.
What made this book enjoyable for me was that the adults are often as confused as their children - they don't have all the answers.
A thoughful and entertaining book that opens up discussions regarding values, perspectives, and memories.
I most certainly recommend this one to all young adults, as well as, those adults who are still young at heart.
P.S. There are a lot of chicken and egg metaphors, so if you don't think the pictures below are cute, then this book certainly isn't for you, just saying.
