I love me a good Atwood tale and this one didn't disappoint at all. I really liked all the details that made the before and after worlds come alive and it was scary to think that this could actually happen, given that the technology and experimentation in the book, isn't too far away from what we have now.
The character I liked the most was Crake. He's a genius who's disenchanted with the way humanity is going and in an effort to create a better race - to preserve, perhaps? - kills off practically everyone, including himself. I wonder how he'd feel if he knew Snowman aka Jimmy was still alive?
The only part of the book that was disappointing to me was the end, but I think this was done on purpose so it can flow into the next one, which I have on tap, and can't wait to start reading next.
